At LICS, when we talk about “Godly character,” we are not just talking about religion.
We are talking about the foundation of being a good human being. 😀
Because in the primary years (ages 5–12),
children are not just learning math or English…
👉 They are forming their heart, habits, and identity.
🤔 So what does “Godly character” really mean?
It means helping children grow in values like:
✨ Honesty – telling the truth, even when it’s hard
✨ Responsibility – doing what is right without being told
✨ Kindness – caring for others, not just themselves
✨ Respect – for people, differences, and authority
✨ Self-control – managing emotions and behavior
✨ Courage – standing up for what is right
These are universal values— valued in every culture, every family, every future career.
🤔 Why start in Primary Years?
Because this is when the brain is most open to forming habits.
🧠 What children repeat.... becomes behavior
💡 What becomes behavior.... becomes character
🌱 What becomes character ... becomes their future
If we wait until teenage years…
we are trying to fix what should have been built.
And here’s the truth:
A child may be academically excellent…
but without character,
❌ They may give up when things are hard
❌ They may succeed—but hurt others along the way
❌ They may lack purpose, discipline, or direction
But a child with strong character…
✅ Can lead
✅ Can persevere
✅ Can build relationships
✅ Can succeed with integrity
So at LICS, “Godly character” means ....
Not forcing religion…
but guiding children to live with truth, love, and purpose.
Because no matter what path they choose in life, this foundation will carry them further than grades ever can.
💬 “Arise and Shine” (Isaiah 60:1)
We believe every child can shine—not just in academics, but in who they become.
