Yeast Fermentation in Action: An AP Biology Investigation
LICS AP Biology students began Quarter 2 with an investigation into yeast fermentation. They compared glucose, sucrose, stevia and plain water, observing and measuring carbon dioxide bubbles to explore differences between the solutions.
The investigation provided an opportunity to connect biological concepts with practical laboratory work, make careful observations and develop scientific questions through experimentation.
